Landon is selling items from the Gauntlet 2; Paris Hilton hits on Cameran's boyfriend
Landon (Philadelphia) is selling items from the Challenges. You too can own three cool items that are up for bid right now. They include two checks, one from the Gauntlet II, the other from the Inferno II. He's also putting up the Rookies flag, which will be signed by several castmembers. Check out his website.
And although they don't confirm a source and pretty much anything that involves Paris Hilton and isn't a rumor to begin with: WENN, which is known to have reported on rumors in the past and even treats this as a potential rumor, is reporting that Paris Hilton is pining for Cameran's (San Diego) boyfriend of more than a year, Olympic skier Jeremy Bloom. Although according to the tidbit that Hilton is interested in Cameran's boyfriend, it never actually states that Bloom and Hilton have even ever met.

Randy and Kina are nervous about the final male Gauntlet; Ace appears on an episode of the Surreal Life
Tonight marks the last episode of the Gauntlet where someone will be voted out. A man will be voted out of tonight's episode. Highlight the following text to see who will be going home:
The men are obviously fearing being sent into the Gauntlet. It's the last mission before the grand prize and no one wants to go home. With a slight lead over the Veterans, the Rookies still can't manage to pull out a win this time. With Kina (Extreme) fresh off her win, she fears that Randy (San Diego) will be put into the Gauntlet. Her fears are realized when Alton (Las Vegas) decides to send in Randy... In the last Gauntlet of the competition, Randy is eventually sent home, leaving Kina to face the final mission on her own... With the teams finalized, both teams are energized and ready to fight in the final mission.
Ace (Paris) appeared on last night's episode of the Surreal Life 6. Typically, there's a reality television star amongst the cast. (In Season 2, it was Trishelle (Las Vegas).) But this season, the existing cast of six got to choose the reality star to live with them. The choices were Ace, Corey Clark (American Idol), Maven (Tough Enough), Scott Long (Big Brother) and John (Survivor 9). After surviving three eliminations, it came down to Ace and Maven. Then it was dropped that the women of the house would choose and the women chose Maven, saying Ace would've been "too much of a ham".

Ibis appears on Overdrive to talk about the Gauntlet 2
Overdrive Episode Summary
Ibis (Extreme) | Monday March 13, 2006
The Interview
Ibis revealed her and Kina (Extreme) had an alliance before the game started. They are friends and agreed to vote everyone else off. It all went well until Cara (South Pacific) left and Ibis began to suck at missions. She said having Cara made her look better. She admitted Susie (Australia) was a good competitor and voting her off wasn't an option. Blair compliments her on her ability not to
care what people think and not be fake around cameras.
Role Playing
Blair pretended to be Jodi (Extreme) and Ibis was herself. It went something like this:
Blair/Jodi:(crying) "Ibis, I'm trying real hard and I don't understand, all i want to do is make friends, but everyone thinks I am a slut."
Ibis: "Let's face it when you're hookin up with one guy the first day and sleeping with another the next day its not gonna work out very nice for you. Theres a camera two feet away from you taping every lick and suck! I don't know, I don't know what to tell you man."
Now Blair as Jillian (Extreme)
Blair/Jillian: "I've just graduated middle school and I'm doing my first challenge. I don't understand why everyone's hating me. I knew about the alliance and told everyone about it. Maybe I was misinformed and maybe gave the wrong information, but I don't understand why people hate me."
Ibis: "First of all, f*ck you first of all! What were you thinking playing the devil and God at the same time, trying to be the middle person. Mind you, me, who never liked you, talking sh*t to Kina behind your back trying to help you out hok you up with ideas and ways to handle the situation and you f*ck me? You screw me? I will kill you what are you doing? Psycho!"
Something obviously went on with those two that we didn't see. Ibis was genuinely angry and admitted she couldn't let "it" go.
Beat Blair Challenge: Blind Taste Test
Blindfolded, Ibis and Blair feed each other food and guess what it is.
Ibis correctly guessed a grape, a brownie, a chocolate chip cookie, chocolate, and a pretzel.
Blair guessed onion, tofu (which he first guessed as a car tire) ,a lemon, and a sardine (he gagged a lot after eating this. He got the hot pepper wrong.
Wheel of Truth
Me Likey:
Ibis revealed she thinks her best physical feature is her eyes (Blair agreed).
Me No Likey:
She said her worst quality is thinking she knows everything. Her bigggest fear is frogs because she was "attacked" by them when shewas young. She peed in her bed because she couldn't walk on the floor for fear frogs woul eat her feet.
Ask Blair
She asked him how many serious girlfriends he has had. He never actually answered, only revealing he likes videogames and comics. Therefore, women don't like him.
The S*#t You Didn't See
Ibis complaining about her bad room with from an infested balcony. Robin (San Diego) pretending like she peed in Katie's (The Quest) bed, (references to Tonya (Chicago) and pillow Shi*t*ng were made), Derrick (Extreme) eating random stuff when wasted, and everyone playing around in the pool.

Kina will face Jillian in the upcoming episode of the Gauntlet sparing Susie
Monday marks yet another new episode of the Gauntlet II. Again, the following are spoilers for the episode. If you want to figure out what happens in this and future episodes, highlight the following text:
The girls cope with the pressure as no one wants to go home in this final female Gauntlet. While Aneesa (Chicago) now heads up the Veterans, they fear that the guys on their team will try to throw the challenge in order for one of the girls to be sent home. Kina (Extreme), on the other hand, really feels the pressure of being the captain this time around. The Veterans pull off a win this time... And Kina is forced to make a decision between Susie (Australia) and the remaining Rookie girls who all were on her season. Because of a mistake she made on the Challenge, Kina chooses Jillian (Extreme) to go to the Gauntlet. While Kina does fret about her decision, she ends up winning and continuing on to the final mission. With one Gauntlet left, who will stay and who will go?

Brad explains the loss against Derrick in the latest Overdrive
Overdrive Episode Summary
Brad (San Diego) | Monday March 6, 2006
The Interview
Brad is branded an "almost winner", having come so close to winning in the challenges he's been in so far. Brad says that everyone has alliances before the challenges begin, so you're basically screwed if you're not in one. Brad talks about his strategy, which was having a good time in the beginning then basically getting down to business toward the end. About the Susie (Australia)/Cara (South Pacific)/Brad alliance: He calls it a misunderstanding, but looking out for each other in the situation. Basically, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He and Cara had a falling out about it, while he and Susie are "neutral". Rockstar Racing Inc. is Brad's new thing he has going. Check that out on his Myspace webpage.
Beat Blair Challenge - "Most Likely"
Who's most likely to eat an entire cow to keep up their protein? Ibis (Extreme)... Brad saw her eat 4 sticks of butter on BOTS & cowparts on Road Rules.
Who's most likely to appear on every reality tv show ever made? Mike (Back to New York). Brad says Mike & Coral (Back to New York) are the same in that area.
Who's most likely to smoke an entire carton of cigarettes in one day/week? Katie (The Quest), but Robin (San Diego) isn't far behind. Brad says it's like their competing. Chain smoking weirdos were mentioned.
Who's most likely to brew their own beer in their garage? Randy (San Diego). Brad says he would want to be creative.
Who's most likely to have sex with a D-list actor just to say they had sex with an actor? Trishelle (Las Vegas)
Who's most likely to stab you in the back? Eric (New York). The jumprope was mentioned. Brad says he will never trust another man with a jumprope.
Wheel of Truth - "Word 4 Word"
Jodi (Extreme): BJ
Randy (San Diego): Philosopher
Beth (Los Angeles): Shady
Cara (South Pacific): Shadier
motorcycle: Love
alliance: Don't have one
alcohol: Trouble
Derrick (Extreme): Boy
losing: Sucks
Wheel of Truth - Me No Likey
What are your 3 biggest pet peeves? Brad says honesty, then Blair says, "What, you don't like honesty?", then Brad asks what it means, & Blair informs him its something you DON'T like, & Brad says he's been misusing the word for years. People that are dishonest, being late, & people that aren't clean.
What's your biggest fear? Being 30 & still trying to figure out what you're going to do, or being 45 doing the same thing.
What would your best friend say is the most annoying thing about Brad? For sure it's the mouth.
Wheel of Truth - Me Likey
What's your guilty pleasure? Riding bikes.
The Shit You Didn't See
The Veteran's team making fun of the clue's that come up on the Sidekick, Brad thinks it's so funny he spews drink out of his mouth. Mark (USA Tour 1) passes out in the bathroom in a puddle of urine. He doesn't want to be helped up, but continues to lay there in it and has someone shut the door. Kina (Extreme) wants to see what she looks like on camera. Then everyone else starts belching in front of the camera. Everyone acting goofy on the "green" backgrounds
Thanks to Amber for the recap!

Overdrive with happen with Brad later this week
We're still looking for someone to review this week's episode of Overdrive. So, last call for this week's Overdrive episode with Brad (San Diego).

Derrick beat Brad in the Gauntlet, pulling an upset
In one of the most stunning upsets in the whole season, Derrick (Extreme) beat Brad (San Diego) in the Gauntlet. While our notes had Brad making the finals and Derrick bowing out right before the end, Derrick pulled off an upset last night. While we're fairly certain of who will end up bowing out, we apologize and are shocked by the turn of events.

Another Gauntlet episode airs tonight, keep watching your screens
Slow news day today: Just remember, tonight's another Gauntlet episode. The second to last Male Gauntlet Day. While we took a week off with the Overdrive recaps, remember that we are still taking them. Many of you appreciate them, since low-speed connections and Mac users cannot access Overdrive.

TVGuide cheers Alton for her superb performance at Challenges; Jodi and Alton's relationship takes a step further
Alton (Las Vegas) current leader of the Male Rookies and avid climber is mentioned in this upcoming week's edition of TVGuide. While TVGuide didn't seem to know whether or not Alton makes it to the end, they mention his performance against Jeremy (South Pacific) as proof that Alton should be crowned King of the Gauntlet (if there were such a thing).
Speaking of the Gauntlet, Monday marks yet another new episode of the Gauntlet II. Again, the following are spoilers for the episode. If you want to figure out what happens in this and future episodes, highlight the following text:
As we see in the previews for the episode, Jodi (Extreme) and Alton's relationship is thoroughly examined as the end nears. While there are many criticizing the relationship because of its ephemeral nature, Alton and Jodi contemplate their fate after they leave Trindad and Tobago. Now since it is a Male Gauntlet Day, Derrick (Extreme) and Alton are both up on the chopping block. While we're not 100% sure, it seems like this will be a victory for the Rookies. In that case, expect Derrick to face off against Brad (San Diego). Although Derrick has shown a lot of heart, expect Brad to send Derrick home.

Aneesa will send Beth packing in the upcoming episode; Coral has a casting couch for Key West with Cameran, Lacey, Steven, Wes, Willie
Monday marks yet another new episode of the Gauntlet II. Again, the following are spoilers for the episode. If you want to figure out what happens in this and future episodes, highlight the following text:
In this Girl's Gauntlet Day, both Beth (Los Angeles) and Kina (Extreme) face the possibility of going home. While Beth is still aloof from the rest of her team, Kina, the more appreciated of the two, starts to feel the pressure of facing the Gauntlet. With team unity at an all-time low, the Veterans fail to secure a third win, sending Beth into the Gauntlet. Beth picks Aneesa (Chicago) to go into the Gauntlet with her. The long standing feud between the two forces words between them, but eventually Beth is sent packing after a anti-climatic Gauntlet. Only three Gauntlets to go... As we told you earlier, the Veteran women only had one more Gauntlet left, so Aneesa (Chicago), Julie (New Orleans), Katie (The Quest) and Robin (San Diego) will be at the final Challenge.
And a special segment that has been airing on MTV's Overdrive for quite a bit, Coral's (Back to New York) Casting Couch: Your First Look at the Real World Key West aired on MTV for the first time last night. Only those with broadband can access the episode in its entirety on OVerdrive, but MTV will be sure to run the episode once again. Coral (Back to New York) along with Cameran (San Diego), Lacey (Austin), Steven (Las Vegas), Wes (Austin) and Willie (Philadelphia) all sit down in Key West to examine Janelle, John, Jose, Paula, Svetlana, Tyler and Zach. While the show is sprinkled with footage of the season throughout the episode, the special focuses mostly on their casting tapes. But MTV also reminds us throughout the episode that you can watch this, other season previews and even a glimpse of Tuesday night's episode on Overdrive. For those without broadband, you'll just have to wait until Tuesday night at 10pm.

Jeremy and Alton expected to face off in tonight's male Gauntlet
Monday marks yet another new episode of the Gauntlet II. Again, the following are spoilers for the episode. If you want to figure out what happens in this and future episodes, highlight the following text:
In the episode preview, it shows us that both Beth (Los Angeles) and incredibly Alton (Las Vegas) have trouble completing the tire swinging challenge. While this is a male Gauntlet day, Beth frustrates her team simply because they believe that she's not at the same level of performance as the rest of the team. While Beth is dragging the team down, the Veterans still manage to pull through a win, sending the male Rookies into the Gauntlet. Alton selects Jeremy (South Pacific) to go into the Gauntlet. While Jeremy does put up a fight, Alton sends him packing.
With only four Gauntlets to go, time is winding down for this Challenge... Will Alton and Kina (Extreme) prevail through the entire challenge to make it to the final mission? Will the team get rid of Beth? Who will win the final Challenge? With only four Gauntlets to go, we'll tell you that both the Veterans and Rookies will both see two Gauntlets each in the coming days, bringing their numbers to an equal standpoint. It will be eight against eight in the final mission. Keep reading the blog for more info!

Cara goes on Overdrive to explain why her alliance was targeted
Overdrive Episode Summary
Cara (South Pacific) | Monday February 13, 2006
The Interview
Cara continues to deny the alliance. She says Brad (San Diego) had the initial idea and right after that conversation went down, she was talking to Jillian (Extreme) and Susie (Australia) about it. And that's when it all started. She also cleared up the rumor about her hooking up with Jamie (New Orleans). It was nothing more than flirting. She counts posing for Playboy as the most liberating time of her life.
Beat Blair Challenge
The Drama Wheel... Ahh, the juicy details come out. First, it lands on Susie. She admitted that the two of them spit on Ibis' (Extreme) pillow and Susie may have spit on Jillian's (Extreme) pillow as well. Next is Danny (Extreme). He apparently was "loony" and did pull-ups everywhere that he went. He also hated Jodi (Extreme) so much that he claimed he would hit her with a car. Kina (Extreme) was next on the drama wheel. "Crazy Bitch" were the first words out of her mouth. She claimed that Brad (San Diego) told her that Randy (San Diego) cheats on Kina.
Wheel of Truth
The wheel lands on "What If..?"
Blair: What if you could take back one thing you've done in your life?
When she was a child, she was playing with kittens. She put them in a box and to keep them from getting out, she stacked books on top and accidentally killed one of them. To be fair, she was really sad about it and it was a total accident. She loves kittens. She would take it back in a heartbeat.
The wheel lands on "Word 4 Word":
Danny: Crazy
Kina: Her head is big. Bobble Head
Robin (San Diego): Boobs "I think she wants to be in Playboy"
Susie: An Angel in disguise. Delicious sense of humor
Blair: Player "You have a reputation of gettin' with ladies!"
The Sh*t You Didn't See
Susie and Cara wrestling. Susie and Cara talking about who has nicer boobs. A replay of Aneesa (Chicago) going off on Cara. THEN later that day, Aneesa admitting she went a little crazy and she fucked up. They made nice and re-introduced themselves to each other.
Thanks to Heather (once again) for submitting her Overdrive episode summary. Until next week!

Cara and Susie are targeted in their alliance in the next few episodes of the Gauntlet
Monday marks yet another new episode of the Gauntlet II. Again,
the following are spoilers for the episode. If you want to figure out what happens in this and future episodes, highlight the following text:
Like we mentioned last week, the Veterans will finally break their four game losing streak with a win on a female Gauntlet day. After the horrendous debacle that was the "alliance", Cara (South Pacific) and Susie (Australia) feel as if they are being ganged up on. Not only were they accused of an alliance, but they are the only non-Extreme females (Kina, Jodi, Ibis and Jillian) on the Rookie team. As a result, the two have become best friends on the Challenge, but feel alienated from the rest of their team. When the Rookies lose this mission, Kina keeps the promise she made in a previous episode and makes the decision to send Cara into the Gauntlet. Don't expect Cara to bow out of the Gauntlet so easily. She fights every inch of the way, but eventually is sent packing by Kina.
With only two female Gauntlets left, we can guarantee that the female Rookies will see the Gauntlet again. The question is: Will Kina option to completely destroy the Cara/Susie alliance?

Jodi clears the air between her, Danny, Adam, and Mark in the Gauntlet
Overdrive Episode Summary
Jodi (Extreme) | Tuesday February 7, 2006
Danny, Adam and Mark
So in this week's interview, everyone expected that Blair would get right into the juicy questions, but Jodi managed to avoid them altogether. She spoke briefly about her argument with Danny (Extreme) and how she was just sticking up for herself because he was yelling at her. Then they moved into her hookup with Adam (The Quest). In a previous show, Adam had already told Blair that they hooked up the first day. But when she said it never went past flirting, Blair just let it go. She then explained that the relationship between her and Mark (USA Tour 1) actually happened only a little before this show started taping. Mark actually wrote an email to her mom claiming that he was falling in love with Jodi. (She still has the email!) He lead her to believe that he was serious about her and then soon afterwards told her over the phone that he needed space. She never heard from him until the show, where it was thrown in her face that he was still interested in Robin (San Diego). -(submitted by Heather)
The Beat Blair Challenge
Blair competed against Jodi in a competition to see who could cry first. Overdrive put together video clips of Jodi crying over her reality television experiences which was very entertaining, and she was victorious over Blair.
Finally Blair wanted some dirt on the cast. Jodi participated in a word association game and these were her answers...
-Alcohol : Beer
-Landon (Philadelphia) : Cute
-Adam : Hot
-Alton (Las Vegas) : Hot
-Mark : Idiot
-Robin : Cool
-Danny : &*%$##
-Veronica (Semester At Sea) : Manipulative
-Rachel (Campus Crawl) : Strong
-Blair : Sweet -(submitted by James)
Then it was on to "Me No Likey". Jodi considers not doing what you say will do a deal breaker in a relationship. She also dislikes people reading over her shoulder (kind of a strange pet peeve) and when people complain.
Last but not least, we have the "Sh*t You Didn't See". First we see Landon, Jodi, Katie (The Quest), and Adam (Paris) doing some interesting dance moves. Then we see Jodi and Alton sleeping next to each other in bed all snug and comfy (I wonder what happened!). -(submitted by Ben H.)
Remember, Cara (South Pacific) will be appearing on Overdrive nexr week. This should be a doozy of an Overdrive. I'm also told that Comcast on Demand users can actually access episodes through their TV. Thanks for the visitors who submitted their reviews!

Gauntlet 2 airing all over again at halfway point, new promos being shown
Good news for all you Gauntlet II fans out there! MTV will be airing a halfway-there marathon today starting at 3PM (Check MTV's On-Air Schedule for your listings), rehashing every single episode of the Gauntlet. So if you missed Jo's (San Francisco) abrupt departure, Aneesa's (Chicago) now legendary fight with Cara (South Pacific) and the love triangle between Jodi (Extreme), Robin (San Diego) and Mark (USA Tour 1), this is the time to catch it!
Update: Well, if you were lucky enough to catch the marathon while the Super Bowl was airing, MTV was airing new promos of the Gauntlet (alongside the tourist-themed Key West promos), showing scenes from the remainder of the season. Although we're halfway done and some of the more controversial castmembers have stepped out, the promo assures us that there is plenty of drama left in this season.
A new episode of the Gauntlet airs tomorrow, so naturally, we'd like to preview the next episode. So if you don't want to know what happens in this and in future episodes (although MTV has been spoiling which team loses the team mission in their last two promos), highlight to read:
As the promo suggests, the Rookies will continue their winning streak winning the bullriding challenge. As the promo also suggests, the Veterans select Syrus (Boston) to face off against Derrick (Extreme) in the Gauntlet. Expect Derrick to pull through on this one, although I haven't received an absolute confirmation on this yet. The episode will also focus on the relationship between Alton (Las Vegas) and Jodi (Extreme), which will also be a storyline in weeks to come...
Next week, expect the accused alliance come to come back, as the Veterans will finally break their losing streak. Kina (Extreme) keeps a promise that she made in a previous episode making for a great showdown in the Gauntlet.
Also, in Blog news: We hit nine million visitors! To celebrate, we're going to be making some minor changes to the Blog (some of which you may already may see). Thanks to all our visitors for being so loyal and those who keeping coming back day after day. We really enjoy breaking down the latest news for you guys and we hope you enjoy it too!

Susie, Katie, Ibis, Kina all fight via online channels
Due to some minor difficulties, the Blog has missed another week in updating. While the whole MTV/online audience was captivated by the Susie (Down Under)/Katie (The Quest)/Ibis (Extreme)/Kina (Extreme) controversy last week that resulted from Susie's appearance on the Aftershow, Susie has just opened up her own MySpace and new website. (If you missed it, a few of the castmembers were bothered by Susie's remarks on the Aftershow.) Susie's MySpace can be found here, while her website, www.susiemeister.com, will open in the next week.

Cara and Susie are under ridcule in the latest Gauntlet
Tomorrow marks yet another episode of The Gauntlet, where yet another major storyline will finally unfold. If you want to read on to find out what happens on tomorrow night's episode (and future episodes), highlight the text:
As the preview showed for next week's episode, Cara (South Pacific) and Susie (Down Under) are under the subject of intense scrutiny after the Rookie team accuses them of aligning themselves with the male Veterans. The Rookies accuse Cara and Susie of throwing male Gauntlet days in exchange for the male Veterans throwing female Gauntlet days.
While the accusations throw the Rookies into a state of anxiety and suspicion, the Veterans still can't seem to get their act together, as they lose their second mission in a row. After a mistake that costs them the Challenge, Ace (Paris) is selected to go into the Gauntlet with team captain Derrick (Extreme), where Ace is sent home.
Meanwhile, while the male Rookies avoid the Gauntlet, it still doesn't alleviate suspicions of an alliance. The Rookies still harbor their qualms with both Susie and Cara which proves to destroy team unity, until one of them is sent to the Gauntlet in a future episode.

The Gauntlet 2 heats up as Beth S. confronts her team and sends Ruthie home
On tonight's episode of The Gauntlet II, the drama really heats up, as the season kicks off one of its main storylines. If you want to know what happens on tonight's episode (or on future episodes), highlight the following block of text:
Beth's (Los Angeles) suspicions of her team wanting to vote her off are confirmed when her team loses another female Gauntlet day. While Jisela (The Quest) volunteered to go home in the previous Gauntlet, the team selects Beth to face off against Ruthie (Hawaii), after Beth has a spat against Montana (Boston) during the Challenge.
Beth pulls off an upset and beats Ruthie in the Gauntlet, sending her home and making Beth captain.
